| The term “antibiotic” is known practically to all of us. When we have got a bacterial infection we take antibiotics to treat the illness. But do you know what antibiotic medications are? Antibiotics are very strong medicines that is why they should be taken only according to the doctor's prescription. If a certain antibiotic product was prescribed to your relative and helped him or her it does not mean that it'll be efficient for you. It is most possible that it will not bring positive results, it may even harm. Antibiotic medical products have rather serious side effects, that's why you should follow the recommendations of your doctor on account of the type of antibiotics and the duration of their use. Though it is hard to overestimate the value of antibiotics in the contemporary medicine you should keep in mind that they are still medications and have a number of side-effects. Be prepared to face such problems as vomiting and diarrhea. Don't forget to inform your doctor about allergies you have or used to have since some antibiotics may provoke allergic reaction such as itching, face swelling or skin rash. In case the application of the antibiotic medication provokes unusual reaction, stop its use and consult your doctor asap. Take good care of your health since your future depends on it.
