A great many males all over the world have experienced or are experiencing sexual disorders. The widespread sexual dysfunction is erectile dysfunction (ED) (also called male impotence) defined as the total or partial of a man to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for a reciprocally satisfactory intercourse with his partner. According to estimates, around thirty million men in the USA have ED. Sexual health and erectile function are essential for most men. As males age, impotence is becoming rapidly more essential. Because this issue is widely talked over in mass media, men of all ages are searching for aid to better their sexual relationships and have a satisfying intimate life. Being a complex process, an erection engages the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, psychological and stress-related factors, the overall health of the genitals as well as hormonal and blood vessel factors. Erections occur in response to touch, smell and visual stimuli that cause pathways to the brain. Then the information travels from the brain to the nerve centers at the bottom of the backbone. There the main nerve fibres connect to the penis and regulate the blood flow to the organ. Sexual stimulation causes the release of chemicals from penile nerve endings causing muscle relaxation in the penis. The smooth penile muscle regulates the flow of blood into the organ. When the smooth muscle relaxes, the blood flow considerably increases and the penis enlarges and becomes firm, bringing on an erection. ED is curable. The root cause of ED and your lifestyle determine the treatment method you and your doctor will select. Sexual dysfunction is commonly associated with disorders, such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiac problems, nervous system disorders, and depression. ED may also be an unwanted side effect of medications. In some males, erectile dysfunction may be the symptom of a serious disease. Advances in medicine have helped increase the number of ways to treat erectile dysfunction effectively. Drug therapy is one of the methods. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are reported to treat ED effectively.
